Storytime: Courtney Pippin-Mathur for Dinosaur Days

October 19, 2025 @ 9:30 am - 10:00 am

Izzy Rae has quite the imagination, and she’s certainly not afraid to show everybody how wild and ferocious it can get. She starts the day rummaging through her closet for the perfect dinosaur attire, because for Izzy Rae, every day is DINOSAUR DAY!

Izzy Rae doesn’t chew her food as a ferocious dinosaur, she CHOMPS! Instead of stepping down the stairs or along the sidewalk, she STOMPS! And wouldn’t you know it, when she is reading signs, she simply doesn’t read, she ROARS! Izzy Rae has so much fun being a dinosaur throughout the day, but there is only one thing better than a dinosaur chomping, stomping and roaring. And that is TWO dinosaurs chomping, stomping, and roaring!

Dinosaur Days is the ultimate celebration of childhood and showcase of the tenacity of a child’s imagination. Izzy Rae conveys her love of dinosaurs through vibrant costumes and funny ways of doing ordinary things like eating, walking, and reading. Young readers will laugh out loud at her hilarious encounters with family and friends.

Courtney Pippin-Mathur was raised in the wilds of East Texas, where she never saw a live dinosaur. She now lives near Washington D.C. with her husband, three kids and one rescue dog, who suspiciously resembles a Stegosaurus.
She is the author of Dinosaur Days and author/illustrator of several other picture books including, Maya was Grumpy, Dragons Rule, Princesses Drool and Fairies Don’t Fight.
