Erin K. Robinson for “The Magical Snowflake” Storytime

December 23 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Join illustrator Erin K. Robinson for the book The Magical Snowflake, written by the late Bernette Ford.

Bernette Ford has written many books for children, including No More Diapers for Ducky!, No More Bottles for Bunny!, and Ballet Kitty for Boxer Books. A publisher for many years, she also worked as a children’s book packager through her company, Color-Bridge Books. She lived in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband, George Ford, an award-winning illustrator. After her death last year, an award in her name is to be established in 2024.

Erin K. Robinson is a fashion designer by trade but also a trained fine artist from Parsons School of Design and the Corcoran School of Art. Her magical imagination is inspired by travel, color, texture, the feminine shape, and the many shades and coifs of Brooklyn. She works in a variety of media including watercolor, ink, markers, charcoal, stencil, collage, as well as digital artistry. She illustrated Brave. Black. First: 50+ African American Women Who Changed the World, published by Penguin Random House. She has also designed a U.S. postage stamp, which was unveiled in October 2022.

This is a Saturday event. Free hot chocolate available for attendees!
