People’s Market 2024

July 28, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

People’s Book is proud to host its first ever Makers Market! Featuring arts, crafts, drinks, and music, our 2024 market will occur Sunday, July 28, from 10 am to 2 pm, rain or shine.

Featured Vendors:
Sourwood Shop is wheel-thrown pottery made by Leah Kefalos in Silver Spring, MD. Her primary focus is on home design items like planters, fruit bowls, yarn bowls, and salt cellars. Her pottery seamlessly fits into every aesthetic: from modern-minimalist to vibrant-maximalist.
Alec Blake (she/her) is a DMV-based artist who works in both digital and traditional mediums, specifically graphite and ink. She is a fan of both horror and comedy, and those interests often inform the themes of her pieces.
Rachel Pfeffer (she/her) is a local Takoma Park jeweler. Her designs range from simple stone studs to sardine hairpins. You may have seen her unique designs made exclusively for People’s Book!
Sweet Earline’s is a family-owned, custom confections business located in Rockville, MD specializing in made-to-order, decorated cookies & cakes. The dynamic mother-daughter duo have been specializing in custom baked goods for more than 10 years!
Caitlin Eaves (she/her) is a potter living and working in Takoma Park, MD, who loves making functional ceramics. She is obsessed with texture, so you will find that many of her pieces include extra-textural elements: carving, gouging, sgraffito, and speckled glazes and surfaces.
As an artist, Mei Mei Chang (she/her) has always been drawn into the depth and the mysterious side of the psyche. This is the source of her art and she can only express it in a language that transcends words.
Eric Leland (he/him) is an illustrator with a small letterpress print studio. He uses vintage presses and his own woodcuts to create artful and humorous letterpress ephemera, including greeting cards and prints. He also creates illustrated books, calendars, and games!

The official Summer Market will be held from 10am – 2pm on Sunday, July 28, in front of People’s Book (outside).
