Join us and author Syl Sobel for a Sunday morning storytime:

This fact-packed civics primer walks kids through how our country chooses its leader—from the very start of the campaign trail, all the way to inauguration day!

Presidential Elections and Other Cool Facts is an easy-to-read guide that explains the step-by-step process of how a president gets elected in the United States. It uses simple language to answer complex questions like: Who can run? Who can vote? What is the electoral college? and is packed with fascinating facts about previous presidents, notable candidates, and remarkable elections in history.

Includes sections like:

  • The Rules for Electing the President
  • Why Is There Electoral College?
  • Third-Party Candidates
  • What If Something Happens to the President?

SYL SOBEL is an attorney, former newspaper reporter, and a retired director of publications for a federal government agency. He started writing books more than 20 years ago when his oldest daughter—then in first grade—asked him if he could “make a book on how the government works.”
