Hi, I’m Megan! I’m the owner of People’s Book, mom of two young kiddos, and former elementary school teacher & reading coach. My favorite thing to do is find the right book for the right kid at the right time. That’s why I’m launching our first-ever children’s subscription program, where you can expect 1-2 high quality books delivered to you (or a child you love!) each month. You can join at any age! Have a seven year old neice? A ten year old grandson? A new baby on the way? For any age, this makes perfect gift for a birthday, baby shower–or just because!

We partner with the hyper-local nonprofit Small Things Matter to spread the gift of books in our own community of Takoma Park, MD. Small Things Matter does a variety of things in our community including spearheading robust literacy programs. Consider donating a subscription to a child in need. At checkout, under “Child’s Birthday,” simply put “STM Donation.” Your subscription will be matched with a child who will then receive a free monthly book.
