Once a year, we review publishers’ catalogs of expected releases and make decisions about which books we will stock in our store. Because we value the power of our community, we want YOU to be a part of this selection process. Therefore, once a year, we will open this process up to sustaining members. You’ll come to drink a glass of wine and put your bid in for the titles you’d like to see most on our shelves. Plus, consider it a sneak peak into which of your favorite authors are debuting new works later in the year. It’s a win-win.
Unfortunately, no. Even though we are a community-oriented organization, we do operate as a commercial business.
Unfortunately, no. Bookshop sets their own prices and handles all payments independently. We appreciate your support and you are always welcome to order online, but only in store purchases will count toward your $10 reward or lifetime discount.
Local residents may pick up swag anytime at the bookstore. If you do not live in the area and would like it to be shipped to you, please email us at info@peoplesbooktakoma.com to share your address. We will use USPS ground service and will cover the cost of shipping for you.
Email us at info@peoplesbooktakoma.com with a few options of evenings that you are considering. Please include the number of guests you anticipate and if you require any special set-up (e.g. chairs etc.) The space will be available to you and guests between the hours of 8-10pm and you should anticipate two staff members to help you with set-up and questions on the day of.
